Noises and noodlings

I'll be sharing occasional sound files, likely in MP3 , possibly .WAV format here. Anything I announce here is opensourced GPL'ed, as long as I (as in this website) get a mention. This does not by any means mean these sound tidbits are not from the heart. I hope you find them worthy of your audioligy.
#1: This is a scratch/notepad track of a song in the works called "Not so long ago". I was trying to work out the arrangement in my head, when I decided to fire up Hydrogen and find a workable sample beat and do some scratch tracks. At the time, I happened to have a cheap o condenser mic attached to a headset, like you might use for skype or gaming. In the heat of the moment I just dangled the microphone off the desk and pounded on my acoustic about a foot away. It does sound a bit tinny/bright for 2 reasons.. I was Eq flat on the inputs, and my rig is treble happy since I have monitors with too much bass end. Anyways, have a listen if you dare.

Then I grabbed an electric and noodled some clean leads over.. most of it, I added some automated fade in, fade outs to all tracks, and inserted some level controls, and muted areas of the lead track to hide some boo boos.. the lead was improvised, what can I say.

And here , in my video debut, I am noodling over a backing track.
