The times they are a changing...
After another major change in my life, including moving 2000+ miles, again, I'm nearly in a position to get fully re-booted. In the process, I hope to clear off my newest & largest hard drive, removing my current Debian 7/Windows XP duel boot setup, and use one drive, for Linux, one for windows, and a 3rd hard drive each OS can share for virtual memory.
I'm going to start with Debian, Jack2, Ardour, etc. By now I have a pretty firm list of must have apps when it comes to creating an open source based digital audio workstation, and I hopefully know most of the tweaks I need to do to optimize it.
I'll be documenting the process, so a post on that topic will be here soon, hopefully. ;)

New album from Dewed
I'm pleased to announce I've finally finished mixing and mastering, what might qualify as an album. While I've been using Linux for about 10 years, and playing guitar for over 35, there was a lot to learn. This is the end result. Let me know what you think.
The bulk of this was recorded with Ardour. On a few songs, I did the first 2 initial tracks with Audacity.
As I was learning to do things with Ardour and Linux in general, my recording techniques changed, leaving me with a bunch of tracks that individually sounded OK, but played back to back, you are forced to adjust volume and EQ on just about every track to make it sound consistent.. That is when I started learning about mastering, and this is my initial attempt. The result.. hopefully has something on it you like.
Let me know.
